Thanks to its native roots, this sun-seeking plant is highly drought-tolerant once established, and, if protected over winter, can be hardy to Zone 6. Attracts butterflies and bees, and, if the flower heads are left on, they will provide late-season seed for birds. Drought tolerant in well-drained soils.
